Mr. McManus is a skilled attorney with more than 45 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. Judge McManus is an active Municipal Court Judge in several Colorado municipality and has more than 25 years of service on the municipal bench. Mr. McManus is also a hearing officer for several subdivisions in Colorado involving the collection of tolls on Colorado roadways including toll roads and HOV lanes. He is also a liquor licensing and zoning hearing officer. Previously he has presided over hearing involving the discipline and termination of public employees.
He has participated in more than 50 published opinions in the state and federal appellate courts in Colorado. He has served as member of a regulatory body for the State of Colorado and has also served eight years as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Colorado.
He practices in several areas including Social Security disability, representing licensed professional and entities before their respective regulatory boards and is experienced in employment law, criminal law, constitutional law, research and writing, appeals and trials.
Mr. McManus is a veteran of the United States Army having achieved the rank of Captain before being honorably discharged.
